It only seems like yesterday that we were all celebrating the new millennium, yet another year has gone by and more New Year resolutions to be made! I know what mine is – to start off with a Chinese Cleanse and so remove many unwanted toxins from my body. JANUARY OFFER! Nature’s Sunshine has an offer for the month of January – if you buy 2 or more Chinese Cleanses, you’ll receive a £10 voucher to put towards your order of £20 or more in February. I’m sure you know someone who may benefit from cleansing their body following the Christmas over-indulging and who will join you in doing a Chinese Cleanse. Don’t forget that if you want to order from the USA List you must send your Order Form to Nature’s Sunshine by 11 January. No telephone orders will be accepted. The National Meeting on 21 January is fast approaching, so if you’re interested in hearing the two therapists speak, then please book your place either directly with Nature’s Sunshine by calling 01952 671600, or contact me by telephone or email. (Let me know if you have an e-mail address in any event). If you’re interested in losing weight and would find it helpful to join a support group, let me know as I’m running some weight loss classes in January, February and March when I’ll also be helping you improve your overall nutrition to ensure you keep the weight off for good! Attention All Slimmers! It’s that time of year again when we
all feel overweight and unhealthy after the excesses of Christmas. The summer
holidays will be here before we know it and we all want to fit into our
lovely summer clothes that expose more of our bodies. Oh no! I attended one
of Dr Alvin Segelman’s lectures last November when he recommended that to
lose weight you should: ·
Start off
with a Chinese Tiao He Cleanse ·
Consume a
low fat protein such as SynerProtein ·
Eat low Glycaemic carbohydrates ·
Exercise regularly ·
Include SynerSlim as part of your Weight
Management regime. The importance of eating low
glycaemic carbohydrates is explained in detail in a book called The
Glucose Revolution, which is available from Nature’s Sunshine at a
reduced cost of £8.99 (Stock Code 6142). This book contains a list of food
and their place on the glycaemic index. Eating
foods low on the glycaemic index will allow your body to burn stored fat,
instead of glucose, for energy. Nature’s Sunshine has recently reformulated the Nature’s SynerSlim weight loss
programme, which now includes the following: Slim-Chi stimulates fat metabolism and
decreases your appetite. 7-Keto will help increase the basic
metabolic rate in your system and lower your body’s weight set point – the
particular weight that your body has programmed itself to maintain. Fat
Grabbers help remove
fat and cholesterol by emulsifying dietary fat. Cellu-Smooth helps increase microcirculation to
mobilise fat stores and remove toxins. Garcinia
Combination slows the
rate of fat deposits, suppresses appetite and promotes energy. Each box of Nature’s SynerSlim consists of AM, Noon and PM packets to be
taken with your meals. The inclusion of 7-Keto
means that SynerSlim is now more
effective. It has many actions on the body besides reducing body fat - it
also strengthens the immune system, helps thyroid imbalance, improves memory,
relieves depression, has anti-ageing benefits, eases inflammatory conditions
such as arthritis, boosts energy, helpful for asthma. I have a detailed fact
sheet on the product 7-Keto, which
I will gladly provide on request. Good luck with
your weight loss and let me know your success stories. Nature’s SynerSlim Stock No: 2956 |

The Digestive SystemWhen meal times come around does
your stomach go into shock? It is possibly trying to tell you something. Did
you know that over 5 million men and women have ulcers?! One out of three
healthy adults has heartburn at least once a month and one out of every four
has indigestion during an average two-week period. Here are some of the
problems of the digestive system and some suggested herbs, which may help to
relieve these conditions. INDIGESTION An easy way to treat conditions
of indigestion or stomach-ache is to take Catnip and Fennel Liquid. My sister gives this to her
seven-year-old daughter whenever she complains of ‘a bad stomach’. Peppermint
is also frequently used to relieve stomach pains and bloating. Simply place a
drop of Peppermint Oil in a glass
of water and sip slowly. Plant enzymes can enhance the
digestion of food and the delivery of nutrients to the blood. If they are
taken before a meal, plant enzymes begin their digestion of food immediately
after it enters the upper portion of the stomach. An appropriate multiple
plant enzyme supplement such as Proactazyme
can then return the body to its proper acid balance and so alleviate the
symptoms of indigestion. AG-X,
another excellent enzyme source, has been used to successfully treat
indigestion, belching, bloating, abdominal pains, nausea, cramps and gas. Papaya
Mint Tablets are chewable tablets, which combine the natural enzymes
in papaya with the stomach-settling power of peppermint, and so stimulates
natural digestive secretions. STOMACH ACIDITY The acid balance of the stomach
is very important. Licorice Liquid
decreases the acidity from the stomach, as does Catnip and Fennel. A product called Stomach Comfort is a natural alternative to antacids and is
available on the USA List. Slippery
Elm is also effective at calming the digestive tract. HEARTBURN Stomach acid that rises up into
the oesophagus is the cause of heartburn. Calcium will neutralise excess stomach acid while Slippery Elm will absorb the
impurities. One ounce of Aloe Vera
Juice can also be effective for heartburn. If you do suffer from
heartburn it is suggested that you eliminate all coffee, sugar, alcohol,
cigarettes and saturated fat from your diet. ULCERS Recent research shows that ulcers are linked to a bacterial infection called Helicobacter Pylori. Herbal HP Fighter is made to both inhibit the growth of the H. Pylori bacteria and help the body relieve the stomach of irritation and discomfort. It is advisable to take Herbal HP Fighter with Proactazyme for added enzyme support. Lobelia and St John’s Wort are also known to help ulcers because of the antispasmodic, nervine, relaxant and counterirritant effects they both have. This is a very small overview of the digestive system. More detailed information is available so please don’t hesitate to contact me by telephone or e-mail. You may also enjoy coming along to one of the many talks held during the year. |
YOUR LETTERS Many thanks for you letters and testimonials – keep sending them to
me! Here are two related to Weight Management and the Digestive System. I
don’t think I’m alone in saying that I have tried every sort of diet and
nothing has really worked. Then I was told about Nature’s Sunshine herbal
products that help to promote weight loss. I started by taking a 7-day
Nature’s Cleanse, which I repeat every five weeks, and each time I have lost
over 3lbs. I then take Fen Chi and Fat Grabbers for the following four weeks
and the pounds are disappearing fast. In six months I have lost almost 3
stones in weight and I feel full of energy. I follow the Weight Watchers
low-fat diet and still attend the classes for weighing and motivation, but I
don’t think I would have succeeded without Nature’s Sunshine. I can’t wait to
go shopping for new clothes again! Juliet Smith, London Nature’s
Sunshine, you have converted a sceptic into an enthusiast! After taking
Proactazyme for only two weeks my uncomfortable ‘blown up’ feeling has gone
completely. With it goes the embarrassing flatulence. What
a difference it has made to my self-esteem! I can’t thank you enough. Grace Allen * * *
