COMMON AILMENTS Many people approach me
for information on what to take for various common ailments. I’ve listed
below the ailments and the herbs and nutrients that may help the condition. Sore throat – gargle with a teaspoon of Colloidal
Silver in water (stock no 4074). Common Cold – Echinacea Blend
Extract (stock no 3181), or Echinacea/Golden Seal Extract (stock
no 3180) Vitamin C 1000mg T/R (stock no 1635). Viral infection – Dandelion &
Purslane Combination (stock no 3167) and Una de Gato (Cat’s Claw)
(stock no 175). Yeast or fungal infection
(thrush, athlete’s foot) – Pau D’Arco (stock no 1774), Colloidal

athlete’s foot, take the Pau D’Arco internally and also soak your feet twice
a day in warm water with Pau D’Arco added. Athlete’s foot disappears in a few

Essential Oils
Everyone loves to be pampered, and that’s where essential oils come in handy. You don’t have to be an expert in aromatherapy in order to use these fantastic oils. Just add a couple of drops to your bath water, add them to a carrier massage oil and rub into your skin or place some water in an aromatherapy oil burner and add a few drops of your favourite essential oil.

essential oils
Most of the oils need to be added to a carrier oil before
putting them onto your skin. Use a small dish to mix the oils or you can buy
small bottles from shops such as Boots The Chemist. Just put some of the
carrier oil into the bottle, add your essential oil and then use for
massaging painful joints etc. The exception is lavender oil, which can be
placed directly onto your skin. Bergamot
Oil – has
powerful antidepressant properties, which may help in reducing tension,
stress and anxiety. Especially useful to cystitis sufferers, who may benefit
from adding this oil to a bath. (Stock no 3900) Roman
Chamomile – use
for inflamed joints and tendons and muscle pain. Enjoy the calming properties
of this oil in a relaxing bath before bed. (Stock no 3901) Geranium – helps to balance hormones and
stimulates the adrenal glands making it useful for menopausal and
pre-menstrual conditions. Stimulates the lymphatic system and has a tonic
effect on the liver and kidneys. Also helps as an antidepressant. (Stock no 3905) Lavender
Fine – a calming,
soothing and balancing oil. Apply to burns for quick healing. Most important
use is the relief of muscular pain and menstrual pain. Massage the temples to
alleviate headaches and place a few drops on your pillow to help prevent
insomnia. Nature’s Sunshine’s lavender is so pure it has earned the AOC
certification from France. (Stock no 3907) Rosemary – an excellent brain stimulant
and beneficial for catarrh and sinusitis. It has an excellent tonic effect on
the heart, liver and gallbladder and promotes the reduction of cholesterol.

Ylang – has an ability to slow down rapid breathing and rapid
heartbeat and helps reduce high blood pressure. (Stock no 3917) Massage
Oil – a blend of unscented apricot kernel oil, sweet almond
oil, hazelnut oil, starflower oil, vitamin E and grapefruit seed extract. Use
alone or as a carrier oil with any of the essential oils. (Stock no 3928) |
