I’ve been interested in health, diet and vitamins for a long time but in October (1998) something happened that made me realise the importance of herbs and supplementation. I had a hysterectomy, and also had my ovaries removed which caused an instant clinical menopause. I started reading about the subject and realised that I was going to be faced with a real dilemma. I also knew that I couldn’t take HRT because of the increased risk of cancer, along with weight gain, high blood pressure, blood clots and skin rashes to name just a few. Well I’m here, fit and well and climbing mountains. I’m not experiencing any of the symptoms of the menopause and I’m not taking HRT.
